Here, you will be able to find information on works that I have written or am working on.
One event during the year I enjoy takes place in November. That is NaNoWriMo. The 2007 event just finished, and for the third consecutive year that I have participated, I won. The goal fo the event is to reach 50,000 words. It sounds like a lot, but that is somewhere around 150 to 175 book pages.
This year for NaNoWriMo, I wrote a "follow-up" to what I wrote in 2005. That novel was about a storm that hit a medieval based fantasy town on the coast. The one I wrote this year picked up where that one left off and followed the people of the town as they struggled in the first few days after the storm.
My plan is to work on editing and combining these two books into one book for publication, in part because they are so closely related. The finished book I think will be somewhere around 300 to 350 pages, though I hope to push it a little beyond that.
I still need to finish last year's NaNoWriMo tale, about a young girl on her own after thinking she killed her parents. She finds a dragon and learns about herself as she learns about the dragon. It has elves, dwarves, and of course dragons, but is set in a more modern day age.
As for short stories, I have a few of those on the burner. This last year, a writing group I'm a part of had a contest where we all wrote on a theme. The theme this year was "They really should put labels on those jars." My story did fairly well in the contest, and I'm considering working on it a little more and sending it out for publication.
A current project in developement is a short story called "The Christmas Clock". As you can guess from the name, it is a Christmas themed story. I hope to have a rough draft by the end of next week.
One last story, a novel, or perhaps a series idea, that I've been working on for a few years is still on the back burner. The Lion's Roar is just waiting for the pieces of the story to fall into place. Perhaps it may be the next novel I do for NaNoWriMo.
You can check back here for more information on these and other stories as I work on them and prepare them for publishing.
